Fukurokuju Sake Brewery passionately crafts sake that delights both drinkers and brewers, embracing tradition and innovation. Dedicated to Akita’s rich terroir, we use locally grown rice and mineral-rich, middle-hard water, which provides a refreshing, smooth taste and health benefits due to its ideal calcium-to-magnesium balance. Founded in 1688, Fukurokuju carries over 300 years of history, including a major fire in 1921 that left two historic structures, now National Cultural Heritage sites. We work closely with local farmers to produce sake like “Ippakusuisei,” which is celebrated nationwide for its authentic Akita flavor and local character. Each bottle reflects the harmony of local ingredients and Fukurokuju’s enduring sake tradition.
