Utashiro Zuikais a seasonal junmai daiginjo from Tenryohai Brewery in Sado, Niigata. Using locally grown Koshitanrei rice and TR8 yeast, it offers a refined balance of subtle muscat, melon, and ramune-like aromas. The palate is smooth and silky, with gentle sweetness, soft umami, and a refreshing, clean finish. Light acidity enhances its clarity, while the moderate alcohol (14%) contributes to an elegant mouthfeel. Previously served in JAL First Class, Zuika exemplifies a higher tier within the Utashiro series. Ideal slightly chilled, it pairs with seafood, simmered dishes, and mild game meats, evoking the grace of snow crystals.
