Shin Tsuchida is more than just a sake; it’s a symbol of the new era at Tsuchida Brewery. Here, they hold a deep belief in the power of bacteria, patiently waiting for fermentation to work its magic, all without any additives. This Kimoto-style sake embodies the essence of Tsuchida’s traditional craftsmanship.
The label design of Shin Tsuchida draws its inspiration from the Tsuchida Sake Brewery logo, which itself is rooted in ancient customs. The hieroglyphic character for “soil” forms the foundation of both the Shin Tsuchida label and the brewery’s emblem. This connection traces back to the practice of offering hardened soil as a sacred offering to the land’s deities in ancient times. In fact, the Chinese character for “Tsuchida” originates from this very tradition, a testament to the reverence and respect for the earth as a divine force.
