Each year during the Shanghainese hairy crab season, which is around November – January, we celebrate the season with the crab and abundance of premium Japanese ingredients at Takashi Kappo, for the annual party “Hairy Crab & Sake”.
With well over 3 dozens of hairy crabs for 10-12 guests on one counter, selected Hokkaido Uni, Caviar, Matsutake, in combination of crab curing by Chef Takashi, the guests at the event always go home with a big smile, round tummy, and a little tipsy. We selected various premium sake to pair with the crab, including Juyondai, Aramasa, Mimurosugi, aged sake, and several other non-mainstream labels that we carefully selected for the feast. It is an annual event that customers return and us to do again and again every year.
